My dear neighbor who was due on Thursday is being "threatened" with a caesarean if she doesn't go into labor by tonight. Somehow I keep hearing of women who are told by their doctors to 'hurry up and have this baby or we will 'take it by force''. (perform a scheduled caesarean)
This makes NO sense to me.
In this situation it's her (my neighbor's) 2nd child and her first was a caesarean due to a breech presentation. So in actuality it's like having a first baby since she never went into labor with the first one. So why are they pressuring her to have this baby on their timetable?
She really does NOT want to have another caesarean. We are all praying for her to go into labor on her own but time is not on our side right now.
Does anyone have experience with this? either personally or through friends. Please pray for my friend.
